yes... it has happened. our daughter went off to college... eighteen years went by? i found it almost necessary to write to her nearly everyday. i send her hand written notes. some that are inspiring. silly. funny. serious. and sometimes just a silly straw. each one of my letters are given with my whole heart. because at the beginning of her college years it was tough... for me. maybe a little for her. but mostly me. so i found that it was something that i looked forward to. i am constantly  on the lookout for something that will fit in an envelope. and you will be amazed at how much you can find. i just love the seeking out stuff to send. knowing that she will be excited to go to her mail slot and find just a little something.
