pierogi: are dumplings of unleavened dough- first boiled, then they are baked or fried.

ok so my friend pat invited me over to make pierogi's. i was excited to learn how they are made. there was a team of four of us. the dough maker... and it so happened that one of the many times he rolled the dough out...there was a heart! i saw a heart! i stopped production of the pierogi so i could take a picture! i couldn't believe that it made it's way to a heart. that just goes to show you all the love that went into all nearly seven hundred pierogi's. i should tell you that the little ball shaped thing's are mashed potato! so if you ever have a chance to help out with some pierogi making you should step right up. i had a great time hangin with friends. and of course afterward we got to sample our hard work with a pierogi and kielbasa sausage dinner outside on the patio with a glass of wine in hand. great time!
